How does my organization become a Nonprofit?

Where can I find laws pertaining to volunteers?

There is the Federal Volunteer Protection Act of 1997, that was passed to provide certain protections to volunteers, nonprofit organizations, and governmental entities in lawsuits based on the activities of volunteers.
