The Singer family was given the Community Pillar Award.

The Community Pillar Award is given to an outstanding member of the community whose work has fostered the civic engagement of others and has provided a lasting impact on New Hampshire citizens. As with any outstanding contribution to the culture of service, the impact of this community member’s work extends far beyond New Hampshire, the recipient of the Community Pillar Award must have an ethic of direct service and serve to inspire others to become involved.  Previous winners of this award include: the Television Station WMUR, Governor John Lynch, and the Alstead Flood Volunteers and Dean Kamen.

The Singer family and Merchants Automotive Group are no strangers to volunteerism, giving back to their communities, and undeniably making a difference in the lives of so many NH citizens.  From the Gail Singer Memorial Blood Drive, now “Americas Largest One-Day Community Blood Drive”, to providing vans to local not-for-profits, to being Greater Manchester’s top producing volunteer group in the Salvation Army Kettle Campaign since 1996, the Singer family is always there and dedicated to community service.
