City Year unites young people (ages 17-24) of all backgrounds for a year of full-time service, giving them the skills and opportunities to change the world. As tutors, mentors and role models, these diverse young leaders help children stay in school and on track, and transform schools and communities across the United States, as well as through international affiliates in Johannesburg, South Africa and London, England.

City Year New Hampshire Corps members serve primarily in five elementary schools in Manchester, NH. Each team focuses on providing students with support in the ABCs - attendance, behavior, and coursework. This support is achieved through one-on-one and group tutoring, mentoring, overall classroom support, and after school programs that help create an improved learning environment In addition to their in-school service, City Year corps members coordinate service projects, workshops, and the Young Heroes Saturday service-learning program for middle school students. Through these efforts, City Year's work impacts children and communities in Manchester and across the Granite State.
