Board of Directors - Charlie Moore

New Hampshire has been my primary residence for 42 years. I was born in Stoneham Massachusetts in 1962, moved to Mason NH five years later, and have been a resident of Jaffrey for nearly 15 years.


After completing high school and working in the computer tech field for several years, I decided to start my own painting and carpentry contracting business. In the late eighties I joined the United states Coast Guard. I served our great nation during the first Gulf war as a Petty Officer third class Boatswain mate.  After my time in service I returned to my previous contracting business which is still in operation today.


Over the past several years I have developed a passion for helping those who are in need. I have volunteered my time building homes with organizations such as Habitat for Humanity and Samaritans Purse. I am also a leader in a national disaster relief organization called Eight Days of Hope. I volunteered my time as chaplain and assistant training officer with CAST (Canine Alert Search Team), a local wilderness search and rescue unit based in Peterborough N.H. I am also an active member of Household of Faith, and have participated in many of their volunteer projects.


In my spare time I enjoy many different outdoor activities, and participate in them year-round. In the winter I enjoy downhill skiing, the serenity of cross-country skiing, as well as snowshoeing and skating. In the spring fly-fishing in our great rivers and lakes is an all time favorite escape. Summer months brings both camping and hiking. The fall is my most favorite time of year: lower humidity days with crisp cool nights, the changing of the leaves on the trees. Hunting season brings back so many wonderful memories of spending time with my grandfather as a young boy first learning the art of tracking and  finding my way through the forest.
